“Wars do not build nations; Wars destroy them. Wars bring unnecessary pain, hunger, distress and suffering. There is an alternative to War: the promotion of Peace, the sharing of resources and the creation of understanding among all people."

Voices of African Mothers Believes A Better Africa is Possible!

VAM believes that women’s education and empowerment are fundamental to the development of African nations. The people of Africa believe in the values of open, inalienable human rights, and wish to lift future generations out of sickness, poverty and war.

For Years the African Continent has been in a state of turmoil causing the life of the ordinary citizen to become insecure and uncertain. We must see to it that poor people do not lose all hope. There is an alternative, help us bring it to life. It may take time, but confidence, courage and trust will make it possible! A prosperous and proud Africa is a distinct possibility.

The riches of the great continent of Africa are more than enough to meet everyone’s needs. Let us stop wasting the precious human and natural resources that we desperately need to restore dignity to all people.

What ought to have been only misunderstandings within the family of African communities have too frequently deteriorated into violence. Some of our societies are either breaking down or have collapsed completely, forcing millions upon millions to live in abject poverty and hopelessness. Voices of African Mothers (VAM) stresses the need to help individuals and families work together to build hopeful, sustainable and just communities.

Through finding their voices and helping them to become self-sustaining citizens they would become leaders in their communities with an equal voice, creating an understanding among all people.

Voices of African Mothers is a 501(c)3 Charitable Organization and a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
